CODE OF ETHICS

At 2002 ABRACOM founding meeting, a work group was created to address the matter of Ethics. After one year and half of holding meetings for reflection, studying business ethics and reviewing codes of ethics from several Brazilian and foreign organizations, ABRACOM members approved the Code of Ethics for Communication Agencies. This pioneering initiative in the organizational communication industry, the Code that was drafted aided with the advice from Terezinha Rios, Professor of Philosophy at the Catholic University of Sao Paulo (PUC/SP), sets a series of principles, and includes sanctions for member agencies that fail to comply with the Code's guidelines.

To review any non-compliance case and render opinions on market practices, ABRACOM elected an Ethics Council by consulting with members. The Council holds annual meetings when councilors review demands and render their opinion on the main Ethics-related subjects in the field of organizational communication.
